If you're looking for a Landscaping company that's worth your time and money then this is the place to go. I contacted them regarding drainage issues in was having. We had got a couple opinions from other landscaping companies but they all suggested to construct/install unnecessary things. Ibi was very knowledgeable and suggested some drainage systems to divert the water.Thanks to you guys now we don't have to worry about our house flooding! Also the team on the field were very respectful and helpful to all of our questions which for us is very important. Kenesi was always up to date on any schedule changes or updates of the job scope. We’re delighted with the work that Northern Virginia Landscaping (NVL) has done for us! We recently purchased a home with a yard that was largely dirt with no driveway except a bit of gravel thrown into the yard. Drainage was also an issue, and much of the yard was marked by ruts, holes and old shrubbery.We interviewed a number of landscaping companies and were most impressed by NVL. They listened carefully to our priorities and created an excellent plan for us. They smoothed out ruts, holes, and other irregularities, installed a drainage system and created a very attract flagstone walkway to our front porch. They also worked with a paving company to ensure that our new asphalt driveway would blend seamlessly into the new walkway. They then laid sod and planted flowering trees and shrubs. Our yard is now beautiful.The people at NVL were all excellent to work with. Ibi, Kenesi and Ana all responded promptly and courteously to our questions and comments throughout the process. We give them our heartiest recommendation and thank them for transforming our property!

We had a great experience with Northern Virginia Landscaping. We purchased a house with a yard that needed to be graded and cleared. They responded very quickly and after discussing their recommendations, and provided an itemized quote that clearly laid out the work to be done. They were in contact leading up to the day of the work and were great to work with. The work was done quickly and the quality was great. Everything was completed in one day, looked great and no mess was left behind. They also followed up with after care instructions to properly grow and maintain the lawn. We will definitely be using them again for any future landscaping needs.

Northern VA Landscaping was superb. We had drainage issues from the hill with no clear vision on how to proceed. They created a wonderful oasis including a new patio, firepit, retaining wall, driveway extension, front walkway, new gate, dry creek bed, and re-grading the land. Their craftsmanship is excellent, but it's their level of professionalism that left an impression. Kenesi, Ricardo, and the whole crew was always early to the site, cleaned up each day, ensured minimal impact to neighbors, and took extra steps to ensure a job was done correctly. We had a few design changes during construction due to the land grading, and it's clear that NVL always does the job correctly the first time.The owner Ibi is fantastic to work with. He's patient, knowledgeable, professional, and still checks in to see how we're enjoying the yard. The pictures can't truly capture the transformation (see the before), but NVL was the perfect choice and we're extremely pleased with how everything turned out.

Throughout the process, we felt that Ibi listened to our concerns about our front yard and methodically addressed all of them. Incredible results because of Northern Virginia Landscaping's knowledge base and responsiveness.We purchased a house that had a raised garden bed near our basement wall, which always allowed water to enter the house during heavy rainstorms. Two previous companies did some work on our house in past years, with lackluster results.I interviewed several companies this year to conquer the continuous problem. Northern Virginia Landscape was the only company willing to take out our raised garden bed and put in a french drain. Like the other companies they wanted to fix the downspout in the neighbor's section and straighten out the drainage hose that was previously laid with great contortions.Northern Virginia Landscape also offered to move my hostas from the old garden bed to the new lower one, before adding stones. But I am so scared of water entering the house, I don't want to water plants in that space, so I opted for just rocks to drain the water.Northern Virginia Landscape was timely and incredibly respectful of the neighbor's garden while working on our project.Northern Virginia Landscape even came out a second time to explain their proposal for a solution, this time to benefit my husband who had been at work the first time.We were fortunate enough to start the project a week after we signed the contract. Even though the company slotted 3 days for the project, they were basically done in 1 day. They returned the next morning for a couple of hours for finishing details.Always informative and patient, they have effectively resolved a worrisome problem we had in our front yard.We highly recommend Northern Virginia Landscaping.

I had a great experience landscaping my yard with Northern Virginia Landscaping. They removed everything in my yard and completely re-landscaped it, and I could not be more happy with the results. Kenesi was the project manager and designed the landscaping. He was always available to answer questions and make changes to the design until I was fully happy with it. Once it was time to install, the team was on time, respectful, and hard working. They paid attention to detail and made sure everything was perfect before completing the project. I also had a sprinkler system installed, and the team NVL hired was excellent. They taught me to use the system and returned to make changes when the sod was not responding well to some of the watering set up. I highly recommend using NVL for any landscaping project.

We recently hired Northern Virginia Landscaping to fix the grading in our front yard and also re-design/plant the garden in our front yard. They've done a great job from the initial consultation to the actual project management. The owner Ibi is very knowledgeable about the water intrusion issues we faced in our house and proposed grading change and additional drainage to fix the water intrusion problem. The project started timely and Ibi and the project manager Kenesei have always kept great communications with us on a daily basis to inform us about the progress. We used Northern Virginia Landscapers for a small project of adding a small paver pad on the side of our house to house our trash cans, and to elongate a bed with mulch. Kenesi was very prompt in getting us a detailed estimate and answering any questions and making changes as necessary. It was easy to schedule our work (in fact, an opening came up and they were able to fit us in even sooner than they originally thought). We are really happy with how the work ended up and they did a great job making sure the pavers were level and perfectly aligned. Their work is a lot better than our sidewalks and driveway pavers that were installed by another company during our original house build. We will definitely use them for any future landscaping needs in the future.

We had to have our backyard completely redone after our new home was built and I’m very pleased we went with NVL. Kenesei and his amazing crew (who were the same the entire time) came on time and finished the project with only a very short delay. I wish I had take. Better “before” photos to show what a difference they made in the grading of the lawn which hadn’t been well finished by our home builder.We had very bad drainage issues on both sides of our house which they took care of and added in cost effective but nice looking rock landscaping with a walkway.Kenesei was also extremely patient about a change I wanted to make in adding more sod and moving plants around. Everything was power washed and care instructions after completion were clear. We are thinking about doing even more detailed work in the future and will definitely use them again!

We had a large scale project that involved replacing our entire back yard (grading, landscaping, planting, and sod) as well as both sides of our house, prep work for a shed, and adding drainage. In all aspects of the planning Northern VA provided multiple options to best tailor to our needs as well as provided excellent and professional guidance. We moved into our new home and immediately experienced major drainage issues all around the house and yard because of how close the houses are built. I did my research and decided to go with this company because I felt that they would do a complete job (vs. hiring multiple companies to do individual projects). Our work included burying all our downspouts and extending them to the edge of the yard, regrading, sod installation, landscaping, and river jack installation. Kenesi was my main point person for scheduling and planning. He was always very courteous on the phone and in person, and took the time to explain the work and make suggestions. When he wasn't available to do our initial consultation, Marco came and communicated all our needs back to the team. Our schedule was a bit delayed because of rain, but Marco and his crew showed up on time each day and worked efficiently. After the first day when they had buried all our downspouts, we had heavy rain and I saw immediate results and improvements with the drainage around our house. I appreciated that he also checked in from time to time to make sure I was happy with the design of the new mulch bed and where the scrubs and japanese maple would be installed. We made a couple small changes during the project, but the team made sure everything still went smoothly. I am very happy with the work they do and will definitely have them come back for future projects.

We hired Northern Virginia landscaping to redo our entire yard. They were incredibly professional throughout the entire process. They helped us coordinate with a landscaping designer to plan the entire project. They went out of their way to find special materials so that the new work would coordinate with our existing hardscaping. Their hardscaping is the best I have ever seen. We had them do multiple stone retaining walls, stucco walls, a new driveway, expanded patio, and more. It all turned out great. Ibi was great to work with. Any time I had a question or needed to make a change, he was very easy to communicate and work with. I would definitely hire them again for another project.

We worked with Kenesi as our main point of contact and were very pleased with his responsiveness and level of professionalism! Ours was about a 3-day project that involved some simple landscape design (boxwoods and a new cherry blossom tree), removal/replacement of a tree, new sod in front/side/backyard, installation of natural steppers and hardscaping with river jack along the front yard and perimeter of the house. Recently had NV Landscaping design and install full yard landscaping, add full yard irrigation system, and full yard landscape lighting. I just had a new patio installed by Northern Virginia Landscaping and it looks amazing! Ibi, Marco and the entire team at NVL were easy to work with and always paid close attention to my requests. I even requested a few changes be made along the way and they did not hesitate to adjust course and make it happen.The result was the beautiful pavers patio as seen in the pics. And they did it all in 5 days! In addition to the patio, NVL also enlarged my storm drain by my back door and replaced a downspout on a gutter. I used to have major flooding issues with my house and if I lost power I’d have to rush to start the generator (to keep the main sump pump running) or risk my sump overflowing. This made it incredibly stressful if I wasn’t home. After the new patio and other changes above were made, my flooding issue has resolved. I barely got any water in my sump after the last 4 day rainstorm! That saved me $8k+ as I would’ve otherwise had to buy a self-starting generator.All the staff at NVL are a pleasure to work with and their prices are very competitive. I couldn’t be happier with my patio and I can’t wait to start entertaining with it. I’d highly recommend Northern Virginia Landscaping to anyone considering a new patio or other major landscaping project!

They installed boulder and rock stepper steps down our backyard/woods terrace. It’s a really great design with natural materials that goes well with the existing landscape, and is more durable than the crumbling brick masonry we replaced. Where to start? For years I've dealt with the big name garden centers but they have become more and more unresponsive and unreliable even when I had a job costing $10,000s. So I decided to try N. Va. Landscaping because of their great reviews. I am so happy I did! We wanted to put in stone steps on a sharply sloping hill plus a stone wall along our driveway. Ibi came out, we discussed several options plus he came up with solutions to other problems we were having. I contracted him to put in the steps, install a channel drain, and build the wall. His team were there on time and did a wonderful job. As can be expected, there were some tweeks that were needed and they came right out to correct. We are looking forward to having the wall built in September. Since they did such a wonderful job, I have contracted them to add some plantings to enhance our steps as well as help to control natural erosion. He was also kind enough to bring me some much needed mulch in preparation for the wall installation.This is a seriously good young landscaper who does a great job.
