I was moving into a new home and had a vision for what I wanted my new patio, yard, and fence to look like. From my first meeting with Ibi, through the design phase with Dave, to execution with Kenesi and Victor, the communication, responsiveness, professionalism, and work quality was top notch!! The project manager, Kenesi, was in regular touch and ensuring I was satisfied with all the work that was being done. the team just finished the work, and I am THRILLED with the results. I am also sad that I won't be in regular touch with Kenesi because he was truly such a pleasure to work with. I highly, highly recommend Northern Virginia Landscaping.

We really enjoyed working with Northern Virginia Landscaping on our recent project. The owner Ibi came to our house twice to review the project and ensure he understood what we were looking for in our design when we changed the project scope. I appreciate the communication from the entire team, especially Ana and Kenesi. I had multiple people I could reach out to with any questions or concerns, and I was never left wondering. In addition, when miss utility mismarked our cable line, the team quickly addressed it and kept in constant communication. The project came out wonderful and it was exactly what we were hoping for. They are a company I trust and would use again for future projects.

So thankful we found Northern Virgina Landscaping! We needed our very first landscaping job done and were very nervous to trust someone to get the job done. Kenesi came and talked us through the entire project, then Victor, Kevin, and Noel came and executed it! Everyone was so friendly, answered any questions we had, and came back immediately when something needed to get fixed. We plan to use them for future projects for sure!
Ibi, Kenesi, Marco, and the rest of the team did an incredible job on our backyard project. After the consultation and a few scope adjustments to align our goals and our budget, we accepted a very detailed work proposal. Over the last 4 weeks they removed 4 large trees as well as a few other smaller ones, excavated the new patio area, installed the patio and retaining wall, removed all vines and bushes, regraded, laid sod, and overseeded, and installed a flower bed. They left the job site clean everyday and answered any questions I had. They are true experts and I will be continuing to use their services on any other projects.
We were excited to use Northern Virginia Landscaping to redo our entire backyard and they were able to execute everything from hardscaping, landscaping, demolition, grading, and masonry work as well. The team was terrific to work with and we are excited to continue working with them in the future.
We had Northern Virginia Landscaping repair two patios and replace an old, damaged brick patio with a concrete slab. The job took just over five days. The crew was on time each day, completed the daily jobs, and left the site clean before returning for the next day. Kenesi, the project manager, was thorough with his proposal and explained to us what our options were to complete the project. I would hire NVL again for my next landscaping/hardscaping project.

We recently hired Northern Virginia Landscaping to fix the grading in our front yard and also re-design/plant the garden in our front yard. They've done a great job from the initial consultation to the actual project management. The owner Ibi is very knowledgeable about the water intrusion issues we faced in our house and proposed grading change and additional drainage to fix the water intrusion problem. The project started timely and Ibi and the project manager Kenesei have always kept great communications with us on a daily basis to inform us about the progress. We are very happy with their work and would highly recommend them for landscaping projects!An update from the initial review: in the past year, we worked with NVA Landscaping on 3 different properties, the most recent one being a townhouse's front garden/lawn this week, as always, NVA delivered the work on time, efficiently and cost effectively. As you can see from the pictures below, the front garden that used to be an overgrown jungle was completely transformed. During a home inspection we learned that part of our foundation was becoming exposed from erosion. We contacted several companies to look into regrading and adding steps to a very sloped side yard. Northern Virginia Landscaping came in to inspect the soonest after reaching out and with the best and most detailed quote. One other quote in particular was insane, over 5x more than any other quote (definitely do some due diligence). The landscapers came in for two days and did an amazing job installing the pavers and regrading/building a retaining wall to help with the erosion. Will definitely have them at the top of my list for any future landscaping needs we may have.
NV Landscaping has been doing wonderful work for us for several years, both landscaping and hardscaping. In every case they have done beautiful work. Arrived promptly, worked very hard, asked questions when they were unsure about something, were very friendly, and cleaned up. They will make sure everything is exactly as you want and need it to be. We are extremely happy with them and can recommend heartily.
We just used Northern Virginia Landscaping to get sod installed in your yard. We originally had a very large tree that was removed and the roots were everywhere in the yard. We also had a previous vegetable garden that we wanted to replace with sod. For a very fair price Northern Virginia Landscaping came in and prepared the soil (removed patches, put down soil, sand and lime to help establish the roots), and laid sod down in the yard - about 800 square feet. The guys did an excellent job, were courteous, cleaned up, and were extremely efficient. Would highly recommend them and plan on using them again for other work.

Northern Virginia Landscaping did an excellent job on a number of projects at our house. The initial consultation was super helpful in determining the size, shape, and design of a paver patio, but they also helped to determine how we could improve some drainage issues in our yard. The patio came out beautifully and the job was done faster than expected. The crew was exceptional and were very accommodating to some last minute changes. We also had a shed pad installed, and when it didn't come out quite right at first, the team worked tirelessly to get everything fixed prior to our shed installation. We're so happy with how everything turned out. The team was super responsive to communication and very careful when the work was being done. Highly recommended!
I hired Northern VA Landscaping for 2 jobs: 1. clear trees/debris and apply grass shade seed to extend my backyard 1,000 sq ft; 2. bury down spout on side of house and apply grass shade seed where there was too much water and not enough sun light for sod to thrive. I had the pleasure of working with Kenesi who is an excellent communicator and provide exceptional customer service. Kenesi makes sure the job is done right and continuously checks in with me to make sure I am satisfied. Highly recommend Kenesi and NOVA Landscaping!

If you're looking for a Landscaping company that's worth your time and money then this is the place to go. I contacted them regarding drainage issues in was having. We had got a couple opinions from other landscaping companies but they all suggested to construct/install unnecessary things. Ibi was very knowledgeable and suggested some drainage systems to divert the water.Thanks to you guys now we don't have to worry about our house flooding! Also the team on the field were very respectful and helpful to all of our questions which for us is very important. Kenesi was always up to date on any schedule changes or updates of the job scope. We’re delighted with the work that Northern Virginia Landscaping (NVL) has done for us! We recently purchased a home with a yard that was largely dirt with no driveway except a bit of gravel thrown into the yard. Drainage was also an issue, and much of the yard was marked by ruts, holes and old shrubbery.We interviewed a number of landscaping companies and were most impressed by NVL. They listened carefully to our priorities and created an excellent plan for us. They smoothed out ruts, holes, and other irregularities, installed a drainage system and created a very attract flagstone walkway to our front porch. They also worked with a paving company to ensure that our new asphalt driveway would blend seamlessly into the new walkway. They then laid sod and planted flowering trees and shrubs. Our yard is now beautiful.The people at NVL were all excellent to work with. Ibi, Kenesi and Ana all responded promptly and courteously to our questions and comments throughout the process. We give them our heartiest recommendation and thank them for transforming our property!
We had a great experience with Northern Virginia Landscaping. We purchased a house with a yard that needed to be graded and cleared. They responded very quickly and after discussing their recommendations, and provided an itemized quote that clearly laid out the work to be done. They were in contact leading up to the day of the work and were great to work with. The work was done quickly and the quality was great. Everything was completed in one day, looked great and no mess was left behind. They also followed up with after care instructions to properly grow and maintain the lawn. We will definitely be using them again for any future landscaping needs.
Northern VA Landscaping was superb. We had drainage issues from the hill with no clear vision on how to proceed. They created a wonderful oasis including a new patio, firepit, retaining wall, driveway extension, front walkway, new gate, dry creek bed, and re-grading the land. Their craftsmanship is excellent, but it's their level of professionalism that left an impression. Kenesi, Ricardo, and the whole crew was always early to the site, cleaned up each day, ensured minimal impact to neighbors, and took extra steps to ensure a job was done correctly. We had a few design changes during construction due to the land grading, and it's clear that NVL always does the job correctly the first time.The owner Ibi is fantastic to work with. He's patient, knowledgeable, professional, and still checks in to see how we're enjoying the yard. We are so pleased with how Northern Virginia Landscaping shaped the landscaping in front of our town home. Throughout the process, we felt that Ibi listened to our concerns about our front yard and methodically addressed all of them. He also patiently provided the information that we needed to get HOA approval for the project.When it came time to do the work, Kenesi and his team did a great job -- even working on the weekend to get the job done in a timely manner. Also, when we had questions and needed follow-up work, they came back right away to remove a bush and trim another. We are thrilled with the way everything turned out!
The customer service representative was very nice and professional. However, the company charges $150 fee for an on-site estimate. This is a bit much for a 20 min distance between their company and my house.

The NVL folks were extremely professional and arrived on time and cleaned up when they left. The wife and I were exceptionally pleased with stone stairway up our back garden and the hundreds of plantings from trees to ferns and junipers to cone flowers. We would use them again and plan to have them do yearly garden maintenance.
Incredible results because of Northern Virginia Landscaping's knowledge base and responsiveness.We purchased a house that had a raised garden bed near our basement wall, which always allowed water to enter the house during heavy rainstorms. Two previous companies did some work on our house in past years, with lackluster results.I interviewed several companies this year to conquer the continuous problem. Northern Virginia Landscape was the only company willing to take out our raised garden bed and put in a french drain. Like the other companies they wanted to fix the downspout in the neighbor's section and straighten out the drainage hose that was previously laid with great contortions.Northern Virginia Landscape also offered to move my hostas from the old garden bed to the new lower one, before adding stones. But I am so scared of water entering the house, I don't want to water plants in that space, so I opted for just rocks to drain the water.Northern Virginia Landscape was timely and incredibly respectful of the neighbor's garden while working on our project.Northern Virginia Landscape even came out a second time to explain their proposal for a solution, this time to benefit my husband who had been at work the first time.We were fortunate enough to start the project a week after we signed the contract. Even though the company slotted 3 days for the project, they were basically done in 1 day. They returned the next morning for a couple of hours for finishing details.Always informative and patient, they have effectively resolved a worrisome problem we had in our front yard.We highly recommend Northern Virginia Landscaping.
I had a great experience landscaping my yard with Northern Virginia Landscaping. They removed everything in my yard and completely re-landscaped it, and I could not be more happy with the results. Kenesi was the project manager and designed the landscaping. He was always available to answer questions and make changes to the design until I was fully happy with it. Once it was time to install, the team was on time, respectful, and hard working. They paid attention to detail and made sure everything was perfect before completing the project. I also had a sprinkler system installed, and the team NVL hired was excellent. They taught me to use the system and returned to make changes when the sod was not responding well to some of the watering set up. I highly recommend using NVL for any landscaping project.
We used Northern Virginia Landscapers for a small project of adding a small paver pad on the side of our house to house our trash cans, and to elongate a bed with mulch. Kenesi was very prompt in getting us a detailed estimate and answering any questions and making changes as necessary. It was easy to schedule our work (in fact, an opening came up and they were able to fit us in even sooner than they originally thought). We are really happy with how the work ended up and they did a great job making sure the pavers were level and perfectly aligned. Their work is a lot better than our sidewalks and driveway pavers that were installed by another company during our original house build. We will definitely use them for any future landscaping needs in the future.
