Ibi Pashaei, ISA Certified Arborist, founded Northern Virginia Landscaping LLC in 2010 to be a part-time operation to assist his local community while also working full time as a student at George Mason University. He was able to combine his determination as a scholar, tenacity as an athlete (completed 2-50 mile races and ultramarathons thought his career) , and wanderlust of the world (traveling and backpacking in Patagonia, Spain, and France) to incorporate all life lessons into being a positive change for community growth; in and out of the garden. In doing so, Northern Virginia Landscaping can be your one stop shop for all of your residential and commercial needs. We provide services to assist with, but not limited to; area beautification, tree removal, drainage solutions, landscape design and maintenance. We are also happy to help with general questions and horticultural “how-to” education.
With over 30 years of experience in landscaping and outdoor living space construction, Ricardo has overseen thousands of home and commercial landscape projects of values up to $3 million in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC Metro Area. His acute eye for detail and deep knowledge of structural design and materials allows Ricardo to maintain a constant line of clear communication with our clients and works with them in our dynamic working environment—our highest priority at Northern Virginia Landscaping. Ricardo always strives to utilize his skills and craftsmanship to meet the needs of our clients as closely as possible, and his work has consistently delivered the highest quality, most structurally sound outdoor environments which are guaranteed to last for years to come. Ricardo’s areas of expertise include: Deck construction, pool decking, patio construction, grading, drainage system installation, tree planting and removal, pergolas, soil composition, and masonry.
Leila joined the Northern Virginia Landscaping team in 2017, assisting with customer inquiries and scheduling. In 2018, she became a certified ICPI installer. You can find her in the office most days but also onsite with the work crews. She is a team player and provides customers with detailed information and support. She loves connecting with customers and making sure we are the right company for them.
Doug Barahona, with 25 years of hardscaping experience, has been certified from ICPI for installing pavers and patios and has run multiple crews of masons and hardscaping employees throughout his life. He specializes in walkways, retaining walls, patios and has a keen sense of understanding the different components of what makes a good hardscape.
With over a decade of experienced in the agriculture industry and a military background Marcel takes great pride in company safety, proper pruning to preserve the health and beauty of trees, and the different techniques used for dismantling live or dead trees safely.
